Staff from the Gower School in Holloway will be taking to the skies later this month to raise money for the Child Poverty Action Group charity.
Head of nursery Jacqui Sang, teacher Laura Gethin, accountant Claire Badejo and admissions worker Renja Salonen will be visiting the North London Skydiving Centre (which confusingly is in Cambridgeshire) on September 24 to undertake the jump, with all proceeds going to charity.
“With most of us suffering from flying anxiety and not particularly fond of heights, we now wonder why on earth we are doing this!” said Laura. “We want to contribute somehow to causes that are close to our own hearts.”
