A formerly obese cat who lost a third of his body weight is looking for a new home.
Oliver, 12, from Holloway, weighed in at a whopping one and a half stone – about the same as a two-year-old child – when he came to the RSPCA. The tabby had been suffering from chronic ear infections but needed to lose weight to have surgery.
Oliver was placed with foster carers who put him on a strict diet and now weighs a healthy 1 st.
Animal welfare officer Hayley Plows said: “Oliver is a lovely cat and would make someone the perfect pet. He has worked really hard to lose his weight.”
