UPDATE: Police said on Thursday lunchtime that the woman's condition is not life threatening.
A woman, believed to be in her 70s, was taken to hospital after a collision near Angel.
The condition of the woman is not yet known after the incident on Wednesday evening
A Met police spokesperson said: "At about 7.15pm on Wednesday, November 30 officers were flagged down by a member of the public to attend a suspected single collision near the junction of Liverpool Road and Richmond Avenue, N1.
"Officers attended and a woman, believed to be in her 70s was taken to hospital."
A cordon remained in place at 9pm, with Liverpool Road closed at the junction.
Police said enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.
