Two men have been jailed for a triple stabbing outside an Islington music venue.
Kieran Morgan, 23, of Berger Road, Homerton, and Daniel Onyewuenyi, 30, of Forest Grove, Dalston, stabbed three men aged in their 20s outside Scala in Pentonville Road.
The attack took place in the early hours of April 19, 2022, following a gig at the popular music venue.
Police said that the defendants instigated a row with a group of men they did not know as they were leaving the venue at 5.20am.
During the altercation, Morgan pulled a knife from his waistband and stabbed two of the male victims, one in the head and one in the chest.
Onyewuenyi stabbed the third man in the thigh. Both suspects then fled the scene.
Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene to treat the victims.
All three men were taken to hospital but none were seriously injured.
Morgan was sentenced to seven years and six months'imprisonment at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday (January 9).
He admitted to two counts of wounding with intent and an offence of GBH linked to the same incident. He additionally pleaded guilty to threatening a female known to him with a knife in a public place, an incident which had occurred just days earlier.
Onyewuenyi was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to one count of GBH and two of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely cocaine.
Morgan had been arrested on May 10 and Onyewuenyi on May 25 after they were identified by CCTV footage.
Officers were then able to establish a definitive link between the attackers and the defendants when the specific jackets they were wearing in CCTV images matched those recovered from their home addresses.
DC Luke Martinez, from the Met's Specialist Crime South, said: “Morgan and Onyewuenyi were intent on causing harm to others that night and carried out a brutal attack on three men following a minor dispute.
“The fact Morgan stabbed his victims in the head and chest shows he clearly had no regard for their lives and it is only sheer luck that the three all escaped serious injury.”
