A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a double stabbing in Islington.
Police were called to Caledonian Road shortly after midnight today (August 20) following reports of an altercation.
Officers found a number of men in the street, two of whom were suffering from suspected stab wounds.
A man aged in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both injured men, one aged 38 and another aged 23, were rushed to hospital where their injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
The 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
A section of Caledonian Road was shut off while emergency services attended the scene.
Pictures showed two ambulances and a London Air Ambulance car at the scene, as well as a large police cordon in place.
A police spokesperson said that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
