A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with a violent homophobic assault.
Alex Ogden, 28, of no fixed abode, was arrested in Southwark on November 2.
Earlier today (November 3) he was charged with wounding with intent to cause GBH against a man in his 50s in Islington.
Scotland Yard said the case is being treated as a homophobic hate crime.
Ogden today appeared in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on December 1.
