A man has been charged with attempted murder after an attack that left a man with a "life threatening" wound to his face.
Police were called to reports of an assault in Essex Road, Islington, just after 12.30am on Sunday (November 5).
Officers helped London Ambulance Service medics, who were treating a 43-year-old man for a "laceration" to his face.
A police spokesperson said that the man’s injuries were confirmed as life-threatening.
He was taken to a local hospital.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and has been remanded in police custody.
