A man was left with life-changing injuries after his face was slashed with a knife while watching a football match in a busy pub.
On April 23 last year, a 33-year-old man was watching an Arsenal vs Manchester City football match at the Park Tavern pub in Tollington Park, Finsbury Park, at around 8.30pm.
He became involved in a brief argument with another man, who allegedly produced a knife and slashed the victim's face, leaving a deep laceration from his left cheek to his lip, police say.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics and though not life-threatening, the victim continues to receive treatment for his injury,
The suspect left before police arrived.
Following extensive enquiries, police have released an image and video of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault.
Det Con Danitza Iniesta, from the Metropolitan Police's local policing team in Islington, said: "The pub was busy with people who were watching the Arsenal vs Manchester City game that night.
"We believe the victim and suspect spoke a few times throughout the evening without issue, before this horrific act of violence unfolded.
"If you were there that evening, or you know the man pictured, I urge you to contact us immediately."
