A man has been arrested after a 62-year-old woman was “hit by a car”.

Police were called to Roman Way, Barnsbury, just before 9.30pm yesterday evening (May 16) to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

A 62-year-old woman was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital.

A police spokesperson said her condition was not life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He remains in custody at this time and police enquiries are ongoing.
