Officers rushed to Camden High Street in the early hours of the morning after reports a gun had been spotted.
Police were called to the high street just after 2.30am this morning (July 12).
Ammunition was found at the scene, but no victim could be found. It is now believed that no shots were fired.
Soon afterwards, police stopped a vehicle a short drive away, in Killick Street near King’s Cross station.
A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
He was taken into custody where he remains while police enquiries continue.
Following the incident, part of Crowndale Road close to the junction of Camden High Street has been shut throughout the morning.
