Labour have held their seat in a by-election that marked the second vote this year in the same ward.
Shreya Nanda won election to Islington Council at the Hillrise vote held on Thursday (August 15).
The poll was called following the resignation of Labour councillor Ollie Steadman in July, just two months after he had been elected in another by-election.
The vote in May was triggered after Cllr David Poyser stood down after a decade in the post.
Last week, newly elected Cllr Nanda easily beat her nearest rival – independent candidate Alison Stoecker.
There were 10 rejected ballots and 2,243 votes case – a turnout of only 20%.
