A grim bank holiday weekend across London saw 10 people stabbed, including a 32-year-old mum. 

The incidents unfolded between August 23 and 26 in Notting Hill, Hackney and Tottenham.

Three people fighting for life after Notting Hill Carnival stabbings

Three people are fighting for their lives after stabbings across two days of Notting Hill Carnival.

While many danced and embraced the annual celebration of Caribbean culture, there were also spates of violence in the vicinity of the event on both August 25 and 26.

On August 25, a woman, 32, who was with her young child was rushed to hospital after police deployed in Golborne Road, near Westbourne Park, were made aware of a stabbing.

Officers, including police medics, gave emergency medical treatment until paramedics arrived.

She was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

While the investigation is ongoing, initial police enquiries suggest the woman got caught up in a fight between two groups of men.

However it is not yet clear if they were known to her.

Shakiel Thibou, 20, of Masbro Road, W12 was arrested at an address in Hammersmith and Fulham on August 27. 

In the early hours of August 28, he was charged with attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Two other men have been charged in relation to the same incident.

The three men are brothers.

Sheldon Thibou, 24, of Star Road, W12, was charged with violent disorder, possession of a stun gun and assaulting an emergency worker.

Shaeim Thibou, 22, of Charleville Road, W14 was charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker.

All three have been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 28. 

Two other people were also injured at the carnival on August 25. 

A 29-year-old man was in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 24-year-old man also stabbed, whose condition had yet to be confirmed.

Five stabbings on August 26

Latest police figures record five stabbings during the second day of festivities – two victims had slash wounds and one attack involved a corrosive substance.

Two people are in a life-threatening condition from the attacks.

While the Metropolitan Police said it could not provide further detail on where exactly these knife incidents took place, a spokesperson said they are all within the carnival's footprint.

Throughout the day 49 arrests were made on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, and one arrest was made on suspicion of possessing a firearm.

It also resulted in 35 officers being injured and 230 arrests.

Man in his 40s taken to hospital after stabbing in Hackney

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Hackney. 

The incident happened in City Road at around 2am on August 26. 

Police and paramedics attended and found a man injured.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non life-threatening.

Another man, thought to be in his 20s, was arrested and taken into police custody. 

A firearm was also recovered at the scene of the incident. 

Man in his 20s taken to hospital after stabbing in Tottenham 

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Tottenham.  

The incident happened in St Ann's Road at around 5am on August 23. 

Police attended and found a man injured. 

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as non life-threatening. 

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He has since been released and no further action will be taken against him.
