A man has been jailed for life for the murder of Yahye Ahmed after he was stabbed to death in Holloway.
Ibrahim Elkadmiri of Axminster Road, Islington appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on September 26 where he was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years.
He was previously found guilty of murder at the same court on July 29.
Ahmed Abdi Ahmed of Waldegrave Road, Hornsey, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, suspended for two years after being convicted of assisting an offender.
The sentencing follows an incident on August 30, 2023, in Axminster Road.
The court heard Yahye spotted Elkadmiri outside a café in Axminster Road on the day of his death.
Yahye, who was with some friends, reportedly armed himself with a baseball bat and followed the 31-year-old.
CCTV used in the investigation captured the victim following Elkadmiri along the road before the fatal confrontation took place off camera.
The court was told that Elkadmiri had produced a large knife from his waistband that he used to stab Yahye five times.
Yahye's friends fled the scene after they saw Elkadmiri holding the knife and baseball bat.
The 31-year-old also quickly ran from the scene, later disposing of the baseball bat into a wheelie bin.
Yahye died at the scene of the stabbing.
The court heard how Elkadmiri and Ahmed exchanged four phone calls, one lasting 16 minutes that discussed arrangements for Ahmed to pick the 31-year-old up.
Ahmed drove his BMW to collect Elkadmiri at Hermitage Road in Tottenham and the two drove away together.
After dropping Elkadmiri at a friend's house, the 34-year-old left to buy a grey tracksuit from a sports shop in Wood Green which Elkadmiri was later seen wearing.

CCTV captured the 31-year-old in the tracksuit disposing of a bag of clothes he had been wearing at the time of the murder.
Det Sgt Devan Taylor said: “Despite an extensive investigation, we may never know what the dispute was between the victim and Elkadmiri, but we do know that the confrontation was violent in the extreme and ended a young man’s life.
“I would like to thank everyone who engaged with our investigation. I understand that becoming involved in a murder investigation can be a daunting prospect and to those people who came forward with information, you have my gratitude. Your actions have helped take a dangerous person off the streets of London.”
