It's that time of year again when everything in London becomes a little bit more festive and magical.

Hyde Park turns into Winter Wonderland, shop window displays attract hundreds and dozens of impressive Christmas light displays light up the night sky.

From Oxford Street's stars and the Angles around St James, central London is home to many iconic displays all wowing crowds of festive fans.

Many of the unmissable Christmas light displays are actually near each other, offering a day or night of wandering around to catch a glimpse of each of them.

To help you out and to make sure you don't miss any of the magical lights, we've mapped each of the central London displays to help you have the perfect Christmas.

Below you can see a map of central London with a couple of stars dotted around in various colours - each star represents the location of the Christmas light displays.

The Christmas light displays on the map are:

  • Piccadilly
  • Covent Garden 
  • Marylebone Village
  • Bond Street

The South Bank Christmas lights are already on display, lasting slightly past the festive period until February 2 with their 'Winter Light' artworks.

Oxford Street is once again displaying its stars this year in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital and the lights are up from November 5 until the start of the new year.

Every year Carnaby Street has an amazing unique display, as from November 7 the shopping destination will be home to views of giant stars in the sky.

From November 12, Covent Garden will have a giant Christmas tree along with giant bells, baubles and disco balls all dotted around the market space.
