A teenager has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of Nashon Esbrand’s murder in Canonbury last year.
Three other males – 20-year-old Dillon Zambon, 18-year-old Jhon Berhane and a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named – have already been convicted over Nashon’s murder. They were sentenced to a combined 54 years last month.
The Old Bailey heard 27-year-old Nashon, who had only become a father nine days before the attack on August 24, was chased up Essex Road by a group of males and cornered in Mitchison Road. This is the street his parents, Princess and Desmond, live on. The stabbing happened on a neighbour’s steps just a few doors away.
The 16-year-old boy admitted murder before the trial started in March. He carried out the stab wounds to the back of Nashon’s legs as he tried to escape, causing fatal blood loss. Zambon and Berhane denied being part of the murder, but were found guilty by the jury.
The Gazette has approached the Met for further information about the latest arrest in Spain.
