Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was slashed with a knife near King’s Cross station last night.

Firearms officers went to the scene after reports of man with a knife on York Way at the junction with Caledonian Street at around 10:50pm.

A police spokesman added: “Firearms officers and British Transport Police attended. A man was found inside King’s Cross Railway Station suffering from knife slash injuries and an arm injury.”

The 36-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment to non life-threatening knife wounds.

Witnesses told of “a man lying on the platform bleeding heavily”

The spokesman added: “At this early stage, it is believed that the man was assaulted on Pentonville Road, at the junction with Caledonian Road.”

Witnesses told police they saw the victim talking to two males before an argument began, leading to the victim’s arm being slashed.

The first suspect is described as 6ft tall, slim build and was seen wearing a black tracksuit with cream/yellow trainers.

The second suspect is described as South-American, 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build and wearing a grey tracksuit.

Officers believe both suspects are aged between 24-30 years.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
